Overview"Jon F Gleman, through his book Life's Journey (Unfinished), is dedicating his life journey to generating awareness on just how fortunate we are to be part of life here on our planet, Mother Earth, and the responsibilities we have to protect and preserve our home. No matter where you live on this planet there is one thing that we all need to agree on. It may be the most important decision mankind ever makes. Time is running out, and we won't get a second chance. Our planet, Mother Earth, is talking to us. At this point, she is imploring us to set things right, to stop defiling and polluting our home - the very planet we live on, along with all our earth-born companions. It has to stop, or life as we know it will change for the worse. It already is. One thing that has been a part of Jon's life since early childhood is his connection to nature and the world around him. In many ways, being a part of nature, studying nature, and communicating with it has been his life's work. He believes that it is time now to share his journey with the world as short stories. The author says, ""My hope is that you will find these stories of my journey entertaining and enlightening. They will inspire you to do all that you can to connect with our earth-born companions and to restore, preserve, and protect our beautiful home, Mother Earth.""" His family moved out of Charleston when he was a little more than one year old and made a couple of stops on their Southward journey before settling in Miami, Florida, when he was six years old. These stops and growing up in Miami in the 50s and 60s cemented his love of nature. Jon has had several careers during his journey. He graduated with a BS in biology from the University of Miami and worked as an ecologist for many years in the 70s and 80 s. During this time, he created and ran a small mail-order bookshop on natural sciences, The Naturalist Bookshop. In the midmid-80s, he took a sharp turn in his career and worked for 26 years for Boeing at the Kennedy Space Center as an engineer and later a manager. He then took a managementposition for a large prestigious architecture and engineering firm in Orlando. During this time, he started a custom woodworking shop, Gleman and Sons Custom Woodworks, with his sons that provided many unique and extraordinary items for individuals as well as companies such as Walt Disney World and Universal Studios in Orlando. Jon is retired now and is dedicating his journey to generating awareness on just how fortunate we are to be part of life here on our planet, Mother Earth, and the responsibilities we have to protect and preserve our home.
