Overview

Born in Pasadena, California, I have lived in the area most of my life. As a teenager I joined the Navy and served in Vietnam. I have worked in corporate America and was a freelance photographer who loved to photograph scenery and railroads. As a teenager, a friend of mine owned three horses. She taught me how to ride in the English riding discipline Hunter Jumper. My friend let me compete with her horse in Hunter Jumper shows. For three years I competed and in my third year of competition became a Hunter Jumper champion. During those years of competitions, my friend competed in Dressage and Hunter Jumper disciplines. Unfortunately my friend moved away when I was ready for my fourth year of competition. I rode horses off and on in my twenties and thirties. I always wanted to own a horse but never had an opportunity to until the year 2004. Now at the ripe old age of 59, horses have a very special place in my heart. I enjoy being a horse's advocate. I cannot imagine living life without horses. I have been married for over twenty years to my lovely wife, Kathy, and we are living in challenging times. Her cooking is superb, and she puts up with her husband's passion for horses.
