OverviewThere seems to be a no man's land between life and death, where lost souls wander and wonder why they are there, knowing that they have to cross a line but ignorant of where it is, or that it is theirs to cross. Some of those are happy where they are, and stay solitary in the same place guarding it against any interference with all their might. They are usually the least likely to come across. Others make alliances and form gangs; they are the most frightening of all. And there are those who are angry and confused, using different life forms to vent their fury, and take revenge on whoever gets in the way. They are the most dangerous. Most souls, however, are just puzzled and only need a little pointer. They are the unfortunate searchers of the line. The six short stories in this book deal with these hapless creatures as they interact with the living, each in their own, sometimes nasty, way.
