Overview

The consequences of our sin can only be averted by the means God provides. We have nothing to do with the means, but we have a choice to make, we can accept them and live, or reject them and die. The Israelites in Numbers 21 also had a choice: to believe in the means God provided for healing from snakebite and live, or ignore Him, look for other means, and die. God provides salvation ONLY through His Son Jesus Christ. Any other way leads to futility and eternal death. Choose wisely! Choose Jesus Christ. ""I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life"" (Deuteronomy 30:19).

Dr. Philip Akinyemi is a father of five, grandfather of six, and member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI). He was born and raised in Nigeria and came to the USA in 1983 to further his education at the University of Detroit, Michigan, where he obtained a doctorate in mechanical engineering. He worked for Ford Motor Company for many years in product and manufacturing engineering and has also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Detroit and Lawrence Technological University. He is an ordained minister who has served as an assistant pastor and holds a master's degree in biblical theology from Michigan Theological Seminary. He lived in Michigan until his wife answered the call of God to come home, and now resides in Georgia.
