OverviewAs the years pass and life is winding down, it is natural to reminisce and to review one's life. Three of my own grandparents died while I was young and I know very little about them. At a family reunion, some of my cousins were asking about my mother's father; they had never met him. Because I had lived with him for some months they were asking, What was he like? This will be written for our children and grandchildren and perhaps may be a blessing to others. It is my desire to glorify the Lord, to show how He saved a teenage boy and faithfully preserved him through all the varied experiences of life. God is faithful! My prayer is that the reading of this account may be used by God to draw some to the Saviour in salvation and then to encourage them to become true disciples of the Lord Jesus. There is no better life and it brings eternal reward. Paul encouraged Timothy to a life of godliness, For bodily exercise profi ts a little, but godliness is profi table for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come (I Tim. 4:8). My regret is that I only have one life to live for my Lord. May God give grace to fi nish life well.
