He has long been engaged in the investigation, excavation and study of Neolithic cultures, especially Liangzhu culture. He is responsible for the overall investigation of the ruins of Liangzhu, the systematic investigation and excavation of Daxiongshan Hill, and the archaeological excavation of dozens of sites including Mojiaoshan, Bianjiashan, Maoshan and Guanjingtou. He has published several books, such as The Cluster of Liangzhu Ruins, Bianjiashan and The Holy Land of the Liangzhu Civilization.
