Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationMonica Mancillas is a musician, educator, and author of picture books, middle-grade fiction, and nonfiction. She holds a BA in anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley. Her books include Mariana and Her Familia, The Worry Balloon, How to Speak in Spanglish, Sing It Like Celia, and Taco Tuesdays. She lives in the United Kingdom with her much-adored daughter, husband, and dog, Annie. Dominique Franceschi (or just Dom) is a Colombian-born, LA-based creative. As a curious, playful, and multilingual narrator, Dominique loves bringing Latine, fantasy, and YA stories to life. Being a former ECE teacher, Dominique adores taking her listeners on self-discovery journeys through children's and self-help projects. She studied performing arts throughout high school and currently holds degrees in musical theater, dance, communications, and performing arts. Throughout her training, Dominique discovered her excitement towards breaking the stereotypes for South Americans and Spanish speakers in performance-based industries. As a full-time creative, Dominique is a community mentor for The Global Actor community, volunteers inside of PANA, and is a member of the APAs DEI & Mentorship Committees. When not in the booth, Dom enjoys playing RPG video games, eating arequipe, more cozy reading, and taking nature photos that she some day hopes to paint. While she continues to hone in on her craft, and as a self defined ""human in progress,"" Dominique is excited to continue growing (both as a performer and as a human being).
