OverviewLetters of Grace, Growth, and Glory is a series of letters written back and forth between Howard and his fianc Virginia during World War 2. He was in the Navy stationed at Camp Paul Jones in San Diego, California, and she was working in the Navigator home in Brooklyn, New York. They wrote faithfully to each other each week during their 9 month separation, telling of their daily happenings, spiritual happenings and anything else that happened in their lives. He is the father of 6 children, 21 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, (with the number still climbing). He graduated from Wheaton College in 1952 and then worked in public education for 29 years. Upon early retirement, he and his wife, Ginie, joined the staff of International Students Inc. and spent the next 25 years ministering to students at Whittier College and Biola University. He currently resides in Southern, California.
