OverviewWe know how war affects countries and the people living in those countries. This is the story about a young girl trying to overcome the pain of losing a loved one during a war. Letters from Dad is the story of a young girl, Erica Green, who has low self-confidence. Erica has always wanted to play softball for her school but doesnt feel like she is good enough. But when her dad gets drafted into the war, the two of them begin sending letters back and forth, with most of his letters trying to encourage her into trying out for the softball team, and to her surprise, she makes the team. But Ericas world falls apart when she hears the news of her dads untimely death. To help deal with her dads death, Erica and her teammates vow to win the state championship in memory of her father.
