Everyone as a little kid is taught to believe in love, by someone. It differs from each person on who gives you that lesson. The problem is we aren't always able to hold on to the hope of love. Sometimes, we lose it. We get tired of the hurt, the pain, and sometimes we feel as though we aren't deserving of love because that is all we hear. And it doesn't matter where you hear it, because once you do, it's extremely tough to shake your head in disbelief at the thought. However, if we're lucky, someone will come along to change that. It can be anyone; I can tell you this much; you won't expect it. This person will help you adjust the rose-colored glasses but not remove them. They might not have a magic wand to make your wounds disappear, but they'll clean them and wrap them in bandages, and they'll stay to help you clean up bottles on New Year's Day, instead of leaving you at 12:30 AM when the party ended. They'll be the guard rail on the high ledge that you've always been afraid of taking one wrong step and falling from. They'll be there to tell you a joke when you need a laugh, or even when all you need is to just hear your favorite sound. And the one thing about this person is they will never leave even when you fully expect them to. My name is Kina, and I'm inviting you to come along my journey of finding that person, for me.
