Author Information

"Caitlin A. Sinatra is a University of Oregon college graduate and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Family and Human Services. Recognized for academic excellence and graduating in the top 15% of her class, Caitlin is a Golden Key International Honour Society Member with a passion for helping others. She co-facilitated youth grief groups for two years and provided compassionate care to a young girl with disabilities during has last years in college. She plans on attending graduate school in the near future to obtain her Master's of Social Work with a desire to work abroad and continue publishing books to help families initiate conversations around taboo subjects including disabilities, sexual orientation, death and grief, bullying, socioeconomic status, mental health, and more. Though Caitlin's father privately used medical marijuana during his fight against kidney cancer, she was first introduced to marijuana as a recreational drug while home alone with friends at age 15. Because of this, her goal is to help adults initiate the conversation about marijuana in a safe environment to prevent children from discovering marijuana for the first time from fellow peers or the media. Similar to children knowing that alcohol is ""only for adults,"" Caitlin Sinatra intends to help spread the word that marijuana is to only be used by responsible adults in a safe environment."
