Overview

The GCU Hover-Drift Race Team has been on an undefeated winning streak, thanks to their new Race Captain Angelique Jackson. The GCU Star Children are one academic year away from the Galactic H-D Finals, the race of all races. While away on the Mothership, President Collins receives a distress call from campus saying that the university space station has been hijacked, specifically by a terrorist-spacer named Yanny Vislow, an old adversary of Angelique. Vislow holds the university for ransom and insists that it was Angelique who killed GCU's previous race team captain. As the stability of academe begins to unravel, Collins and his crew begin investigating Vislow's claims. Though Professor Beginaut believes Angelique is innocent, he also understands that there are forces above and beyond the college that seek to discredit and destroy the career and reputation of his favorite pupil. Ultimately, Angelique learns that her troubles lead directly to warlord Para-Drake.
