It's easy to see how children can fall in love with the charming and imaginative personalities who come to life in these timeless original stories created by author and illustrator, Christell A Chapin. Defined by their playfully entertaining tone, her stories are colorful and engaging with special focus on helping children feel loved, valued and appreciated. Born in Oakland and raised in rural northern California, Christell has incorporated her own life lessons into intriguing stories which are sure to delight children everywhere with their sweet and lovable characters, detailed in soft but vibrant whimsical illustrations and rich beautiful imagery, mainly in mixed media of watercolors, pen and ink. After being diagnosed with stage III breast cancer, she began to write and taught herself how to paint while undergoing chemotherapy treatments in 2018. Her enchanting stories provide their young audience with fun and creative ways to learn through rhythm of dialog, creating genuine and authentic poetry. Offering advice in rhyme, these little prose picture books are destined to become favorites with children, the world over, as they introduce them to the joys of reading.
