Overview

One of a series of 12 books designed to help parents and teachers assist young children in developing readiness skills in reading, handwriting and mathematics. The series includes four progressive levels for each area of learning with three books at each level. An activity card is included in each book. The activities are suitable for ages three to seven. This book focuses on strengthening readiness skills for working mathematically. It extends children's understanding of basic mathematical concepts, revises numbers 1 to 5 and introduces numbers 6 to 8. Graded activities are grouped into common themes and a list of specific skills to be developed and general teaching instructions are given at the front of the book. Additional revision and extension activities are listed inside the back cover.
