Overview

This is the story of a group of students planning to go to the 1970 World Cup in Mexico. When the time comes, only one finds the courage to embark on the great adventure, fulfilling a lifelong dream. He keeps with him a dairy to record the experiences of each day. At the same time, he shares many anecdotes and experiences related to football/soccer youth, amateur and professional. This passion for the most popular sport on the planet was inculcated in him by his father who had played professionally for Alianza Lima of Peru. He follows his team Peru who was the ""Cinderella Team"" of the 1970 World Cup. Also, I have the stats of all men's and women's World Cups ever played with the winners and runners-up. At the end I have the fixture for the 2026 World Cup (48 teams) for those who want to keep track of the competition. I conclude with a listing of all the stars that have formed the USMNT & USWNT during World Cup competitions, the top goal scorers men & women and predictions during the group phase.
