Tom Archer is a licensed mortgage adviser who thrives on helping first-time buyers take their first step into property ownership. Tom served in the Grenadier Guards and the Parachute Regiment, and it was during this time that he decided he wanted to know more about buying property but just didn't know where to start. Tom bought his first house when he was 19 and he has since gone on to buy others, some with and some without professional help... and made loads of mistakes along the way. By becoming a qualified mortgage adviser, Tom was finally able to understand the whole process. And he discovered a passion for helping other people to avoid the potential pitfalls in the house-buying process. All that knowledge and experience is distilled into this, Tom's first book. Tom loves spending time with his wife, son and daughter. He is a keen runner and cyclist and has recently started his journey into the world of triathlons.
