I have been studying martial arts since 1981 and hold the rank of 10th degree Dan in Small Circles of 5 Animals Jujitsu. Shao Lin Kung Fu, 18 hand Lohan Kung Fu, Muai Thai, Glima, Hsing i Ch'uan, Tai Chi Ch'uan, and Chi Kung are among other arts I've studied. I studied wilderness living and wilderness survival for 10 years in my youth and ran two wilderness skills schools from 2008 through 2015. For a handful of years, I taught specialized, close-quarter combat to civilians as well as law enforcement individuals. I'm a certified Reiki Master/Teacher and hold a Master Level in Nord Seiðr Græðari. I have training and experience in all manner of energy work; hands-on as well as remotely (TCM and Tribal based), mindfulness techniques, breathing exercises, and Scandinavian Shamanistic practice. Over the years I've climbed over 20 mountains above 14,000 feet elevation, 13 mountains over 13,000 feet, and many others of lower elevation. I thoroughly enjoy being outdoors; hiking, camping, kayaking, canoeing, skiing, snowshoeing, exploring, and just sitting quietly and observing life. Interacting with animals has always been a passion of mine. Crafting traditional works of art based on Scandinavian and Native American cultures also has kept me busy. I love to read and paint also. I have traveled the western hemisphere extensively. I am a genuine Northman, teacher, author, artist, nature lover, and martial artist living in the remote mountains of Vermont. Most recently I worked as a contractor for the Vermont Center for Responder Wellness and Institute for Trauma Recovery and Resiliency. I had to cease due to the development of a neuroimmune disease that I'm told has no known cure, and is progressive.
