Thelma Herrera Flores celebrated many kosher Passovers during her childhood and has carried those traditions into adulthood. Her guides were the staff and residents of Golden Manor Jewish Home for the Aged where her mother worked for over forty years. She is the recipient of the prestigious B'Nai Zion Award and the first person to graduate with a BA in Religion with a minor in Jewish Studies from Drew University, Summa Cum Laude. Thelma earned the Master of Arts in Religion with a concentration in Hebrew Bible from Yale University Divinity School. She is an ordained Deacon. Dr. Daniel F. Flores studied Jewish festivals at Hebrew College. He earned an M.Div. from Princeton and Ph.D. in American Religion and Culture from Drew University. He is an ordained Elder.
