Bénéficiaire de la bourse d'excellence de la Confédération suisse de 2015 à 2018, il a effectué sa thèse en archéologie à l'Université de Genève dans le laboratoire Archéologie et Peuplement en Afrique. Il est actuellement chercheur postdoctoral en études africaines au Deutsches Historisches Institut de Rom/Villa I Tatti Harvard University Center.
