Ulrike Quast ist als freiberufliche Lehrerfortbildnerin, Englischtrainerin und freie Publizistin in Dresden tätig. Sie studierte Russisch und Englisch (Erwachsenenbildung) und war Aspirantin und Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Institut für Angewandte Psychologie der Universität Leipzig. Dort promovierte sie in Pädagogischer Psychologie. Sie ist Autorin und Herausgeberin mehrerer Buchveröffentlichungen.
