Lenny the Lizard and His Green Scarf are about a lizard named Lenny that helps his friends Otter, the river otter, Michael, the mouse, and Blue; the blue jay feels happy all over again with the magic power of his green scarf to wash away their troubles. About Author: Allistar Banks has loved children's books for as long as she can remember. The magic and imagination fascinated her and brought her to began writing children's books as a youth. The mock book she wrote in elementary school was called The Sorcerer and the Magic Pond, and it won an award. Her mother was also a school teacher at the time, and her heartfelt stories of children grew the Author's interest more to write this book. She looks forward to writing more books soon.

Allistar Banks was born and raised in McCormick, SC. She is a graduate of Lander University with a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications. As an undergraduate, she discovered her passion for writing children's and adult literature. Her passion for writing began at the age of eight which included making her picture books that described fantasy figure, places, and type. Ms. Banks focuses on creating stories that are fun, educational, and inspirational along with figurative language to capture the imagination of a child.
