Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationDr. Mike Goldsmith studied the philosophy of time and space at Keele University in the U.K., where he received a PhD in astrophysics. Formerly the head of the U.K.'s National Physical Laboratory, he has written many non-fiction books for children. Sebastian Quigley was brought up on the South Coast of England and moved to London to study industrial design. After earning his degree, he moved into the field of illustration, specializing in the airbrush and concentrating on the subjects of space and technical illustration. A few years ago, the airbrush was replaced by a computer, and now almost all his pictures are produced as renders from 3D computer modeling. He has produced innumerable images for publishers around the world on a vast range of subjects from dinosaurs to anatomy, geology to shipwrecks, but space has always remained his firm favorite. He continues to live in London, with his family and has a passion for snow and water sports. Nicholas Forder is a children's author and illustrator who specializes in wildlife illustration. Martin Sanders is a UK-based illustrator who lives and works with his family in Somerset, among old cider orchards, green fields, and mole hills. He has worked for most major publishers and illustrated countless encyclopedias, reference, and text books. Peter Bull graduated from art college in 1979 and has worked as a freelance illustrator for over 25 years. He has created both traditional and digital art for publishers worldwide, and also runs the Peter Bull Art Studio, which he founded in 1975.
