He has a background as researcher at the European University Institute in Florence, lecturer at Stockholm University and Head of Legal Research, later Director, at SIEPS, the Swedish Institute for European Policy Studies. His primary areas of expertise are EU constitutional law and rulemaking systems, comparative constitutional law and legal methods. Magnus Strand is Associate Professor of European Law and Director of Research in law and business at the Department of Business Studies, Uppsala University.
