Legacy of Love

Overview

Commemorating the life of a World War II veteran, Legacy of Love was initially written about LaVerne McIntyre. Author Dennis McIntyre's father landed on the beach at Normandy at the age of thirty. His hopes and dreams were realized after returning from the war when he married Rae Wyland. They were blessed with three children and then tragedy struck. Cancer took her life, leaving three boys under the age of five without a mother and a father that was bankrupt. He had to find employment with a resume as a stay-at-home father and somehow, keep three boys together as a family. The task may have appeared insurmountable, yet perseverance and prayer overcame great odds. The original document was modified to reflect another legacy of love. Dottie McIntyre, a beloved wife of thirty-eight years, lost her battle with cancer on June 1, 2007. This godly wife inspired all who knew her. Through a series of events, Dennis McIntyre felt the urging of the Holy Spirit to make Legacy of Love available to the world. If life seems to be dealing you a tough hand, this book is for you. It is about triumph over tribulation and hope over despair.
