Born in Cincinnati, Ohio and raised in Englewood, Florida. He has been the recipient of many literary awards, including honors in the William Faulkner Literary Competition, Great Midwest Book Festival, and Paris Book Festival. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Cincinnati, he studied literature and film in Los Angeles. He then created a Florida fiction series based on an impassioned young journalist, Butch Sands, and his unpredictable life on Pedro Island.
