In addition to the general principles of food law, the book deals in particular with the labelling and official monitoring of food and with the legal framework for advertising statements about them. This third edition already includes legal precedents and administrative practice relating to Regulation (EU) No. 1169/2011 on consumer information regarding food, which has placed food and nutrition labelling on a new basis since 13 December 2014.
