Overview
The road to literacy involves learning letters (alphabets), syllables (phonemes), words (morphemes), and sentences, (semantics). Our project, Learning My ABC's Literacy System, seeks to fulfill one of first links in this literacy development process. Children who do not know their alphabet before starting kindergarten are less likely to develop the pre-reading skills necessary to succeed. Our aim is to increase academic readiness by laying the foundation for literacy. Learning the alphabet is a pre-literacy skill essential to a student's educational success.The Learning My ABC's Literacy System is aimed at preparing children ages 2-5 academically as well as other students in need of learning the English alphabet. The Learning My ABC's Coloring & Writing Book represents an additional component of our literacy system (sold separately) which includes: an 18 x 24 poster, a picture & music book and flashcards. Our program contains varying learning modalities consistent with National Common Core standards which include reading, writing, listening and speaking. This educational book combines the power of music, language arts and fun to promote the academic development for early learners. It is our firm belief that early learning enhances future academic success. The Learning My ABC's Coloring & Writing Book is an ideal learning resource for Pre-K and Kindergarten students, English Language Learners (ELL) and Adult Literacy Learners. With our learning system, students will learn and understand the alphabet in a fun and exciting format. By associating the alphabet with everyday images, coupled with exciting music, the Learning My ABC's Literacy System provides an all-encompassing dynamic specialized to enable every participating student to master the alphabet in a matter of days.
