Learning From Life is an anthology of poems that reflect on both the mundane and the more challenging aspects of everyday life. In his poems, the author takes a look at everything from Sunday mornings and the importance of time in bed; the stresses and strains of everyday life, and reflections of more dramatic events, including the Covid pandemic and the Manchester Arena bombing. One of the poems, though - The Hope We Cling To - reflects on the trauma and uncertainty experienced when his son-in-law was suddenly diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in 2021.
