Overview

The purpose of this workbook is to teach the English language to speakers of other languages. The activities contained in this book are designed to help learners construct meaning from oral and written language as well as express complex ideas and information. The lessons cover content standards from all four of the language domains: reading, writing, speaking and listening. The English language development standards contained in the book place special emphasis on the role of speaking and listening as crucial modes of communication.
