Vasso Kontou, (BEd, MA) is the author of Captain Reece Icle: The Birth, Learning with Captain Reece Icle, Key Stage 1 and My Captain Reece Icle Colouring Book. Vasso was born in Athens, Greece in 1978 and grew up in a small, rural town of Aliartos. At the age of 19, Vasso Kontou left her hometown to live in one of the not so rural towns of the North East of England, Sunderland. For 16 years, she taught English in national and international schools and has become a well-known business woman, a caring mother and an author of international journals on Academia and Education.
