OverviewThis title comes with magnets to use again and again. Learning to tell the time is fun with this magnet book. It features more than 90 magnetic tiles that can be positioned and replaced on the pages time and time again, providing countless hours of clock-reading practice. The exercises are accompanied by appealing illustrations of a happy clock face and friendly mice, to give young readers a big - and little - helping hand. It might be OK to be a quarter of an hour early or late for a party, but it would not be so good if you were catching a train! The interactive illustrations in this book are ideal for helping children learn to tell the time. The pages are accompanied by a tray of magnets that can be pulled apart to create a set of more than 90 tiles, showing a clock's big and little hands, numbers in regular and Roman numerals, and times of the day written in both figures and letters. Each page contains tinted squares to indicate where the magnetic tiles can go, and the tiles can be removed and reused. As they progress through the book, children will learn to understand o'clock and half past the hour; quarters of the hour; minutes after and minutes to; and the 24-hour clock. Special tiles can be affixed to a chart on the inside front page, to record these achievements. When finished, a grown-up can fill in an official certificate to show that the book has been completed successfully and that the child knows all there is to know about telling the time!
