Jeremy Harwood has long been a card game enthusiast, with a particular interest in card games through history. He read modern history at Christ Church, Oxford. After working on the catalogue of the letters and papers of the third Marquess of Salisbury, he became a full-time editor and writer. His books include Secrets of the Bach Flower Remedies (Dorling Kindersley) and The Freemasons (also published by Southwater) and, as contributing editor, the award-winning Mysteries of History (National Geographic).
