After a childhood that included lots of foreign travel she studied Design at College specialising in Illustration which included lots of printmaking. She then worked for many years as a Greeting Card and Stationery Designer in the historic city of Bath. Laila worked on many well-established children's licenses and eventually progressed onto creating her own designs for pre-school activity stationery and giftware. She has been working as a Freelance Designer and Illustrator for a variety of international Children's Book Publishers and Design Companies since 2008. Being part Danish brings a Scandinavian feel to Laila's work where clean flowing lines and shapes are softened with hand-painted textures. A strong interest in children's design combined with years of experience working with many of the major children's brands, and most importantly being a parent herself, has given Laila's work a strong thread of fun, color and playfulness.Pauline Molinari has enjoyed working in children's publishing for over 15 years wearing many creative hats along the way. With a degree in graphic design from Northern Illinois University and being a parent herself, her artistic side combined with her young-at-heart spirit makes the perfect combo to dream up, design, and write engaging activities for kids.
