Author Information

Dr Michael Mutingi obtained a PhD in Engineering Management from the University of Johannesburg (South Africa), majoring in healthcare staff scheduling. He also obtained a MEng and a BEng in Industrial Engineering from the National University of Science & Technology, Zimbabwe. Currently, he is a Senior Lecturer in Industrial Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering, Namibia University of Science and Technology (Namibia). In addition, he is a Visiting Senior Research Associate at the Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment, University of Johannesburg, South Africa. Dr Mutingi has professional experience as a Research Associate at the National University of Singapore, Singapore, and as a Lecturer in Industrial Engineering at the National University of Science & Technology, Zimbabwe, and at the University of Botswana, Botswana. His research interests are in Lean, supply chain management, operations management, systems simulation modelling, and heuristic optimization.
