Brigida Ticiane Ferreira da Silva a soutenu sa thèse de doctorat en Science du Langages (Didactique des langues-cultures - FLE) à l'Université de Franche-Comté à Besançon (France). Ses recherches portent sur l'anthropologie de l'éducation, les dimensions sociales et interculturelles de la communication et la formation des enseignants de langues. Elle a enseigné le FLE plusieurs années au Centre de Langue et de Culture Française « Danielle Mitterrand » à Macapá, au Brésil. Elle l'enseigne actuellement à la Faculté de Lettres de l'Université de Franche-Comté, en France.
