OverviewThis is a workbook from an agnostic point of view. Most occult books are theistic in nature and there is absolutely no reason why agnostics and even atheists shouldn't benefit from practices and excercizes that have been used since the dawn of religion and spirituality. I had a recurring nightmare throughout my life and it was one of my earliest memories. I was told by family members and friends who were unfortunate enough to witness the event that id wake screaming, eyes open and staring at nothing. I never remembered the 'nightmare' the morning after nor waking during the night. The only recollection i was able to muster was I was in a place where the silence roared. The darkness absolute. Sound moved in waves and echos. Gravity was extreme I.E. a marble felt like a bowling ball. A place so terrifying that my mind would block out recollection of the specifics. A place I later termed 'The Void'. This place I'd visit at least once a year until my early twentiesI had moved to Las Vegas to assist my Grandmother after my Grandfather had passed away. I had no friends at that time and would frequent a local Occult shop. It was here I discovered fellow explorers Aleister Crowley and LaVey. (And we ARE explorers including you the reader). The smell of incense and the taboo topics that comes with this forbidden journey was intoxicating. After purchasing a couple books, tarot deck and some incense i plunged into the dark world hoping to unearth the secrets Hollywood has so often maligned. It was during a newfound session of meditation that I experienced the 'Nightmare' except I was fully awake, in control of my senses and completely sober. Astonishing! I recall there was a sense of surrender is the best way i can describe it. A giving of myself 100% without reserve and facing my worst fear head on with eyes wide open. The sensations were unmistakable. THIS was the place! I think I laughed then. Not a place to fear but a place to revere. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
