Author Information

Anna has an MSc in Health Promotion and is a qualified sexual health trainer. She is currently the Coordinator of the Sex Education Forum (SEF). Before joining SEF Anna worked for a local Teenage Pregnancy team specialising in professional training in SRE. She is also a member of the NICE Programme Development Group for PSHE guidance. Anna Martinez has authored a variety of SRE resources for NCB. Vanessa Cooper authored Support Staff in Schools and co-authored Laying the Foundations: SRE in primary Schools (2006) and as national coordinator of the Anti-Bullying Alliance, worked with schools to develop anti-bullying policies. She had a wealth of experience working with schools and young people having previously worked as a primary schools teachers and then as a healthy schools coordinator in several London boroughs. Jane Lees is the chair of the Sex Education Forum. With an interest in curriculum development, she has contributed to the development of the PSHE framework and also to the new Personal Well-being programmes of study. Jane's forte is currently PSHE CPD lead in one local authority and supports several others. She is also an associate trainer for the Family Planning Association.
