Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationDr. Doug Cushing is the Founding Pastor and Head of Staff of the Bridge Presbyterian Church in Leland, NC. Doug was born and raised outside of Milwaukee, WI. He attended Carroll College earning B.S. degrees in Clinical Psychology and Communications. Doug earned a Master of Arts in Christian Thought from Trinity Divinity School; a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry with specialization in Church Planting from Columbia Theological Seminary. An ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church, USA, Doug has served churches in Chicago, Philadelphia and, most recently, in the Upstate of South Carolina where he served as Founding Pastor and then Head of Staff of the Tyger River Presbyterian Church. Doug is also a coach and consultant for new church pastors with Pinnacle Leadership Associates. In 2016, Doug published his first book: Where There's No Road At All: Adventures in Church Planting. For the past 15 years, Doug has served as a PCUSA certified coach for new churches and church planters. He has coached and consulted church planting projects in Minnesota; Ohio; Georgia; Tennessee and the Carolinas. He has taught about his experiences in church planting in Baghdad, Iraq and Columbia Seminary. Doug and his wife Sharon live in Leland, NC along with their two-year old Cocker Spaniel named Coji.
