Life has not always been funny, or fun for Sam Thompson. At times, it has been painful and lonely. Sam grew up in a situation where one was not laughed with, but laughed at. Since he was born blind, he saw nothing worth laughing at, and felt for years that he was God's big joke. Then at the age of 21, he began to see the humor around him for the first time. He began to discover that things, funny things, happen to him because he is blind. This journey will take you to life in the back hills of rural Indiana, with all the fun and challenges of living in a large family.
