Wetta and Novelli's exploration of how 'last stands' have been depicted in America's--and thus the world's--visual culture demonstrates how in the modern age film not only advances historical interpretations, but amends them to accord with transformations in the larger culture. Novelli teaches film and history at the University of the Arts, Philadelphia and at Kean University.
