* Top Ten Book of 2019 - The Law Society Gazette; Patricia C Byron's excellent book is not about drafting a will but rather the importance of preparing a letter of wishes to your executors. Last Orders covers your wishes on every conceivable subject connected to death, such as funeral arrangements, details of assets, and other details to make life less costly and stressful for the executor. - The Law Society Gazette; ' Last Orders is a very practical guide to prompting and guiding the discussion with family and friends about what you want when you die.....with its detailed guidelines and checklist [it] really is the perfect way to start the conversation... ' - Manchester Law Society Messenger; 'Its completion would make the executor's job easier.' - Gill Steel, LawSkills Monthly Digest; There is so much useful and invaluable guidance crammed into just 96 pages. Our lives are constantly changing and becoming increasingly complex, as are the matters that require attention when we die. Author Information

When Patricia C Byron was asked to be executor of her friend's Will, she had no choice but to think quickly. Her friend was terminally ill and, having already assisted in the handling of both her father's estate and a friend's recent death, Patricia knew the enormity of the task she was being asked to take on. She also knew that she needed vital answers to some difficult questions. Just a few months before her friend sadly passed away, Patricia wrote the first edition of Last Orders to assist them both. But when her mother died suddenly just one year later, Patricia learnt even more about the challenges and the complications that can arise when dealing with death. She has written for, amongst others, the Manchester Evening News, Mature Times, STEP Journal, Berkshire Life and presented talks to thousands of members of the general public on the importance of leaving clear, unambiguous instructions about our final wishes. She runs a successful publishing house, Stellar Books, and lives in Bowdon, Cheshire.
