Author Information

Zdenek Salzmann is professor emeritus of anthropology at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. A specialist in Native American languages and folklore, he is also the author (with his wife, Joy), of Native Americans in the Southwest (1997, Westview Press). He has held guest professorships at Yale University, and the University of Freiburg in Germany, and has been visiting professor at several universities in the Czech Republic
