Academically rigorous yet welcoming and fully attuned to the needs of the student reader, Chris Bevan's Land Law blends traditional and contemporary teaching approaches to guide readers to a confident understanding of the subject. Key Features: - The author's engaging writing style speaks directly to students and anticipates their questions, enabling him to present a sophisticated analysis of the law that does not overwhelm readers. - Provides focused yet comprehensive coverage, closely mapped to LLB courses. - Key cases for each topic are succinctly summarized in a 'facts', 'legal issue', 'judgment' format to provide students with a clear sense of why they are important, and to act as a springboard into primary sources. - Author podcasts and videos accompany the text in the book's digital editions, giving students the chance to hear directly from the author as he offers practical advice on tackling problem questions, and explains the importance of key topics in a wider context. New to this edition: - New key cases include: Supreme Court judgments on adverse possession (Brown v Ridley (2025); and on mortgages (Waller-Edwards v One Savings Bank Plc (2025). - New, enhanced and expanded discussion of co-ownership (Savage v Savage (2024)), of proprietary estoppel (Armstrong v Armstrong (2024)), and on easements (Stenner v Teignbridge District Council (2025)). - Coverage of upcoming reforms to leasehold and renter's rights.
