Southern mom, Annette Bridges, is the author of a series of books that share helpful, instructive, light-hearted, inspirational messages. For almost a decade, Annette wrote columns for Texas newspapers, parenting magazines, and spirituality websites. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Annette has spent all of her years in the South except for her college years, which were in Illinois. With a B.A. in sociology and graduate studies in early childhood education, she was an educator in public schools until becoming a homeschooling mom. Writing aspirations began as a child with journal-keeping, but she would not write her first published essay - a guest column in the Dallas Morning News - until she became an empty nester when her only child (her daughter Jennifer) left for college. Annette lives on a North Texas cattle ranch with her darling husband John and her feisty, but very elegant, dachshund Lady. Her daughter Jennifer has a sweet and funny dachshund named Bella.
