Currently, she is an assistant professor in the Department of Languages, Linguistics, and Comparative Literature at Florida Atlantic University. Her research and publications address theories of masochism, feminism, sexuality, and cultural identities in Hispanic studies with a particular focus on Spanish modern peninsular literature and culture. She coedited with Michael Horswell Sexualidades Periféricas. Consolidaciones literarias y fílmicas en la España de fin de siglo XIX y fin de milenio (Madrid: Fundamentos, 2016), and authored several peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. Nuria Godón es licenciada en filología hispánica por la Universidad de Santiago de Compostela y obtuvo su máster y doctorado en español en la Universidad de Colorado, Boulder. Actualmente ejerce como profesora en el departamento de Lenguas, lingüística y literatura comparada de Florida Atlantic University (FAU). En su investigación y publicaciones aborda teorías sobre el masoquismo, feminismo, sexualidad e identidades culturales en los estudios hispánicos con particular atención a la literatura y cultura española de la época moderna. Ha co-editado, junto a Michael Horswell, el libro de Sexualidades Periféricas. Consolidaciones literarias y fílmicas en la España de fin de siglo XIX y fin de milenio.
