La Máscara Invisible / The Invisible Mask

Overview

A mask can represent many things: something that covers and hides, but also an element that, from anonymity, grants strength and power. The Invisible Mask and Other Stories offers a compilation of tales that reveal that energy seeking protection: migration; the voices and speech of different parts of Latin America; the pulse of its people filtering through the pages to create--through story after story--spaces that invite us to discover, to think, and to understand the movement of our continent. Estela González, with a powerful voice, rises among contemporary storytellers while also making room for LGBTQ+ experience--necessary to represent and make tangible within the writing that surrounds us. This volume will leave the reader with the flavors of diversity, opening us to new possibilities.
