After a lifetime of doodling, J. Robert Deans started cartooning a few years ago with his CRASS FED web comic while managing a comic shop. After being laid off and figuring out what to do next, the inspiration for his SHAKES THE COW children's book character struck. Since then he has released several Shakes adventures, starting with MOO THOUSAND AND PUN. Deans also writes and draws graphic novels for young readers featuring Stanley, the koala spy, in THE BEAR FROM A.U.N.T. series.
