Or ces reecritures exemplaires de l'ironie romantique allemande apportent une amplification singuliere a ce conte bien connu. La version dramatique, avec de nouveaux personnages et de multiples peripeties, et le petit roman, tres different de la reecriture theatrale, presentent des versions inattendues, deconcertantes et prodigieuses du conte de Perrault. D'une maniere tres moderne, Tieck mele un merveilleux quasi surrealiste a un caractere proche des creatures d'un Melville ou d'un Robert Walser.
