Overview

This nonfiction, coming-of-age graphic novel follows Kurt Cobain from his childhood to the brink of worldwide fame with the release of Nirvana's Nevermind. The art and story centre on Kurt's alienation and how friendship and music can fill suburban emptiness. Growing up, Cobain actually believed that he was an alien and would soon be rescued, or meet others like himself, never feeling alone again. When he met his Nirvana bandmates, it happened! Together, the bandmates of Nirvana changed the musical landscape forever.

Author Information

Danilo Deninoti was born in Cuneo, Italy, and works in marketing and communications. He is the co-founder of the literary magazine Eleanore Rigby, and his short stories have been published in a number of independent quarterlies. In 2012, he was selected to appear in Granta Italy's issue featuring unpublished writers. Toni Bruno was born in Sicily but cut his teeth in Rome, illustrating fanzines and underground comics. He's the author of three graphic novels and also works as an illustrator for publishing and music companies.
