Overview

Kuntz the Cat isn't your ordinary house pet-he's a sun-loving, tail-chasing, alley-ruling feline with attitude and flair! From his early-morning stretches to his night time patrols, Kuntz leaps, prowls, and struts through town with the heart of a lion and the swagger of a king. Whether he's dodging dogs, chasing mice, or holding his own in a showdown with a rival cat, Kuntz proves time and again that he's the boss of his block. With rhythmic rhymes and playful imagery, this delightful story captures the bold adventures of a cat who isn't afraid to stand tall, play hard, and defend his crown. Author Information

Hattie Williams-Moreland is a lifelong educator, storyteller, and coach who has spent over 50 years crafting words that inspire, entertain, and uplift. A proud graduate of Jackson State University, she also holds a master's degree from Northeast Louisiana University. Hattie retired from a fulfilling career as a reading teacher and basketball coach-roles that allowed her to shape young minds both in the classroom and on the court. Her love for writing began in the sixth grade when a creative assignment sparked something powerful within her. Tasked with crafting a fable about a cat and a dog, she vividly imagined the two animals having a real-life conversation-if her neighbors were to peek out the window, they would see the cat and dog having a conversation. When she read the story aloud, the class burst into applause, and that moment marked the beginning of her lifelong journey as a writer.Whether through poetry, fiction, or personal reflections, Hattie writes from a place of wisdom, creativity, and heart. Her stories carry the legacy of her experience and the imagination of that sixth-grade girl whose words first came to life.
